Nurturing the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs

The Kids Market at Market on Main is a special feature of our downtown farmers market, Market on Main, dedicated to young entrepreneurs under 16 years old. It provides a safe, welcoming, and empowering environment for local youth to showcase and sell their original, handmade goods and artwork. And serves as a fantastic way for families to bond, collaborate, and support their young maker’s creative passion together!

When & Where

When: Held on the 3rd Sunday of each month from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM. (till 2:00 PM in Season)
Where: Flagler Park along the St. Lucie Riverfront in Historic Downtown Stuart, Florida.

Kiddos are encouraged to participate each month, but it is not required.

Program Highlights:

There is a $5 participation fee per market date. Paying this small fee gives young vendors a realistic “taste of business” in a safe and supportive environment. It helps teach kids essential life and business skills, including:

Empowerment: Kids learn financial literacy, customer service, and business fundamentals, as well as nurture strong social and communication skills.
Community: Connect with thousands of weekly market visitors along the St. Lucie Riverfront.
Recognition: Opportunity to be nominated for Martin County’s Youth Entrepreneur of the Year.

Vendor Responsibilities & Guidelines:

Guardian Requirement: A parent or legal guardian must be present with the young vendor for the entire duration of the market.
Setup Equipment: All vendors are responsible for bringing their own tent, table, and chairs. (Standard 10×10 space; tents should be properly weighted for outdoor weather).
Original Products: All items sold must be 100% original and handmade or created by the youth vendor (no reselling or commercial items).
