The Show Must Go On–July 4th Celebration Needs Community Support

One of Stuart’s most popular community events needs community support. Stuart Main Street is looking for businesses, organizations and individuals to step up and support the annual July 4th Celebration. This daylong, family-friendly  event draws huge crowds to Downtown Stuart and culminates with a breathtaking fireworks show.

Stuart Main Street looks forward to organizing this popular community event every year. Our faithful volunteers get the permits, book the entertainment, arrange food and drink vendors, set up kids’ activities and, of course, make sure the fireworks show goes off without a hitch. We’ve been doing this for the past 16 years, and hope to continue for years to come.

For several years we’ve been extremely fortunate to have Toyota of Stuart fund the July 4th Celebration. This year, however, we’ve lost John Pierson (Toyota of Stuart) as a sponsor and are in dire need of community-minded individuals and businesses to band together and help us continue this celebration.

Can you help make sure the July 4th Celebration continues in Stuart?

About Stuart Main Street:
Stuart Main Street program was established in 1987 then led to way in transforming what was once a blighted downtown business district into the centerpiece of America’s Most Beautiful City (America  in Bloom). Projects like the restoration of Woodman Hall, creation of Flagler Park, and the annual Dancin’ in the Street party have helped restore this classic Florida downtown to its original vibrance.

Today the historic downtown is home to 16 restaurants, over 50 retail shops, and some 50 other businesses. The Lyric Theatre, renovated in 1987, hosts more than 100 shows each year, drawing over 90,000 patrons to the downtown area.
