Mornings on Main Street 11x17 July 2017

Come Celebrate Christmas in July!
Join us for the July Mornings on Main Street at Aycock Funeral Home as we celebrate Christmas in July! Topics will include this year’s holiday plans for downtown and the 30th anniversary of Dancin’ in the Streets, the event that funds the Downtown Stuart tree lighting. Special “Christmas gifts” will include a ticket giveaway for Dancin’ in the Streets next month, and commemorative Dancin’ in the Streets ornaments.

Stuart Main Street

…is a 501©3 not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the appearance and economic stability of Historic Downtown Stuart.

Our mission is to create and market a positive image of Historic Downtown Stuart through special events, retail sales, effective advertising and public relations. We often partner with public, private sector and community leaders to develop and coordinate resources to downtown Stuart’s success.

We sponsor many popular community events, such as:

  • Howard Alan Art Show
  • Spring Craft Festival
  • Dancin’ In The Streets
  • Fall Craft Festival
  • Christmas on Main Street

We’re part of the Florida Main Street program, which is administered by the National Main Street Center of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Florida Main Street’s mission is to provide the tools to Florida Main Street cities to revitalize their historic downtown centers. We use the “Main Street 4-Point Approach,” as a blueprint to work with community leaders to bring about many small but positive improvements. This approach includes promotion, design, economic restructuring and organization.

Would you like to help Historic Downtown Stuart maintain its “Old Florida Charm” while supporting all aspects of revitalization? We invite you to get involved in one or more of our committees:

Build a positive image of our downtown with public relations, advertising and retail and special events.

An attractive community begins with landscaping, lighting, signage and well-designed and maintained buildings led by the Design Committee.

Business Improvement and Development:

Healthy businesses are the basis of economic opportunities for all. Work to strengthen our existing businesses and recruit new merchants on the Business Improvement and Development Committee.

A better community starts with strong partnerships. Work with volunteers, recruit members, raise funds and build new relationships on the Organization Committee.

Stuart Main Street meets the second Tuesday of every month at 4:30 p.m. in the City Hall Chambers at 121 SW Flagler Avenue, Stuart.
